Ex-Italian Football Star arrested by police for growing marijuana plants

A previous Italian football star, Luigi Sartor, has been put under house capture after police supposedly discovered him developing weed with an associate.

Italian media say Sartor and Marco Mantovani, both matured 46, are to confront preliminary one month from now. Sartor offered no expression at a court hearing.

Police supposedly discovered 106 cannabis plants at Sartor’s mountain bungalow.

Sartor was a safeguard with AS Roma, Parma, Juventus and Inter Milan. He was captured in a town close to Parma.

The police strike occurred on Friday in Lesignano Palmia, south-west of Parma in northern Italy. The plants, kept in what had all the earmarks of being an unwanted property, might have created 2kg (4.4 pounds) of cannabis.

Examiners’ doubts were raised when the house’s force supply was multiplied and its lights supposedly was on around evening time.

They halted Sartor’s vehicle and, reports say, smelled similar particular scent as was recognized external his house.

In 2011 Sartor was prosecuted for trick to submit wagering extortion, in a match-fixing embarrassment known as “Calcioscommesse”. However, in 2019 the examination was finished under a legal time limit rule.
