Frenkie De Jong to Man United, HERE WE GO!?

FRENKIE DE JONG TO MAN UNITED

Manchester United is about to succeed in their summertime pursuit of Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong.

The two clubs have agreed to a £56.2 million initial transfer price and a total deal worth somewhere around £72 million. The midfield maestro reportedly met with Barca, who expressed their desire for him to leave Camp Nou this summer.

Last month, United CEO Richard Arnold and football director John Murtough flew to the Catalan city to finalise a deal, but they returned without a signed contract. Despite the fact that negotiations are already in their third month, the Red Devils are still committed to signing the player.

One more time, the Red Devils will try to persuade him to transfer teams. Despite maintaining that De Jong is not for sale, Barca is rumoured to be open to his exit. According to United, the Dutch international’s unpaid debts are what are preventing a deal from moving through.

The player is allegedly owed £17 million by the Catalan club, which is a problem that needs to be rectified. De Jong is among the most paid players at Barcelona, and he also owes a number of payments due to amortisations and other contract provisions. The difficulty for the club is that they are presently unable to handle such payments, which makes the player’s future more challenging.
