Barcelona held firm in the face of a staggering offer for teenage winger Lamine Yamal, according to the agent of midfielder Dani Olmo.
Paris Saint-Germain, seeking a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, reportedly tabled a world-record €250 million bid for the 17-year-old just before his birthday. However, Barcelona swiftly rejected the offer, leaving some fans skeptical of its legitimacy.
“There’s no doubt Barcelona turned down a massive offer for Lamine Yamal from PSG a few months back,” confirmed agent Andy Bara on Podcast Inkubator. “The deal was somewhere in the ballpark of €250 million.”
Bara, who also represents other players like Nacho Fernandez and Mikayil Faye, went on to discuss Dani Olmo’s recent move to Barcelona. While securing funds for Olmo proved challenging, Bara emphasized the player’s unwavering commitment to the club.
“There was a lot of media frenzy, but President Laporta assured me not to worry, saying it would be settled within 15 days, and that’s exactly what happened,” Bara explained.
“We received numerous offers for Dani, including from several top clubs. While I won’t name them, Dani’s heart was set on Barca. We all agreed it was the perfect fit for him. I pushed hard for the transfer, and Dani was also eager to return home.”
